Traditional and truly authentic, these hand-filled tamales are super easy and convenient! Add boiling water, let steep for two minutes, pour off the excess water and slide the tamale out onto a plate. That's it!
These tamales are made with a treasured 80 year old family recipe that has been featured on Good Morning America and the New York Times.
Please note that because these tamales are individually hand made, some small variations in size or appearance may occur.
Santa Fe 2 Minute Tamales
Place tamale open end pointed down into a 16 ounce tumbler.
Add boiling water and screw on lid - steep for 2 minutes - using the pour spout pour off the excess water completely (no more dripping) and slide out the tamale. Steeping for more than 2 minutes or not completely draining off all excess water can result in a soft or mushy tamale. Please follow instructions closely for best results.
Tamales weigh 5 ounces. Most frozen tamales shipped weigh only 3.5 - 3.7 ounces.
